Medical & Clinical Disclaimer
Last updated: May 2026
If you are experiencing a dental emergency — severe pain, facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing — seek emergency medical care immediately. Do not rely on this website to manage an acute clinical situation.
General information only
All content on DentalCalc Pro, including calculators, reference guides, cost estimators, clinical tools, and written articles, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional medical or dental advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any individual patient or clinical situation.
The outputs produced by any tool on this site — including risk scores, dosage calculations, cost estimates, recall intervals, and reference values — are starting points for clinical reasoning, not final clinical decisions. They must be interpreted in the context of the full clinical picture by a qualified dental professional who has examined the patient.
No patient-clinician relationship
Using any tool on this site does not create a patient-clinician relationship between you and DentalCalc Pro or its operators. We are not a dental practice. We do not have access to patient records. We cannot provide specific clinical advice.
Clinical calculator limitations
Clinical calculators on this site — including the Anaesthesia Dosage Calculator, Caries Risk Assessment Tool, Periodontal Risk Assessment, Dry Socket Risk Calculator, and others — are based on published clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research. They are designed to support, not replace, clinical judgment.
The following limitations apply to all clinical calculators:
- Calculations assume the inputs provided are accurate. Errors in input produce errors in output.
- Maximum recommended doses for local anaesthetics and other medications must be verified against the current product monograph and the patient's medical history, current medications, weight, and clinical status before administration.
- Risk assessment outputs (Low, Moderate, High, Extreme) are based on population-level evidence. Individual patient risk may differ.
- Dosing calculations for children, elderly patients, and patients with renal or hepatic impairment require additional clinical consideration beyond what any general calculator provides.
- Clinical guidelines change. While we aim to keep tools current, always verify against the most recent version of the referenced guideline.
Cost estimates
All cost estimates on this site are based on 2026 US national average data from publicly available sources including ADA survey data and published fee schedules. They are not quotes. Actual fees vary significantly by geographic location, practice type, insurance plan, provider, and individual case complexity. Always obtain a written estimate from your dental provider before proceeding with treatment.
Insurance coverage estimates are illustrative only. Coverage depends on your specific plan terms, waiting periods, frequency limitations, pre-authorisation requirements, and network status. Verify coverage with your insurance carrier before treatment.
Patient tools
Tools designed for patients — symptom checkers, anxiety assessments, oral hygiene scores, and gum disease risk checkers — are screening tools only. A high-risk result from a patient-facing tool is a prompt to see a dental professional, not a diagnosis. A low-risk result does not mean no dental problem exists.
Radiographic reference data
X-ray exposure settings presented in the reference chart are general guidance only. Always follow your specific X-ray unit manufacturer's validated exposure protocols. Radiation dose must be justified for each patient individually by a licensed operator.
Pricing and availability
All content, tools, and cost data are provided as-is. We make no warranty that the site will be available without interruption, that tools will be error-free, or that cost data will reflect current market conditions at the time you access the site.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DentalCalc Pro and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, any content or tool on this site. This includes clinical decisions made in reliance on tool outputs.
